Regional Operations Manager

Agnieszka Jouille joined us in 2003 after moving from Poland and has seen her career develop rapidly and is now a Regional Operations Manager.

"After coming to the UK I was keen to develop my career quickly so started looking for a job that would offer me variety and job satisfaction as well as the opportunity to develop both personally and professionally. I wanted to work somewhere that matched my ambitions but at the same time offered me some security and stability.

As a Development Manger at Provident, you’re in control of your own destiny. Everyday brings a new challenge whether it’s building relationships with customers, coaching and mentoring Agents or simply planning your day productively. This certainly keeps you on your toes! At the same time its great knowing that success and achievement can bring excellent rewards.

It helps if you’re enthusiastic and passionate about everything you do. I know it’s a cliché but you really do need to be a ‘people person’. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. And with the great support you get, becoming a success and growing both the business and your career is a realistic goal."

Development Manager

Paul Corcoran also has an excellent understanding of what it takes to be a successful Development Manager.

"First and foremost, this role is all about helping people - whether passing on knowledge to agents or providing that little extra support for our customers when they need it most. If you achieve this, you can really drive sales. The two things are completely linked together.

Our agents look to me for support and guidance. I'll often accompany them as they visit our customers and offer them advice on how best to deal with situations. Sometimes, you'll take charge of a situation yourself, such as arranging new repayment plans for those who are having difficulties. Ultimately, we're all working to keep the customer satisfied - and I get a great deal of satisfaction from seeing that happen. It's in everyone's interest.

The hours can vary, so having the skill to manage your workload and adopt some flexibility is vital. This said, I didn't want a job that was the same day in, day out. I wanted flexibility, respect and variety - and I get it here. As long as you're focused on getting results and enjoy achieving goals, you'll thrive.

So what motivates me? Well, the financial rewards undoubtedly. But also the opportunity to improve myself and continue my development. There's definitely a clear career path for people who can apply themselves and you really feel that you're part of an extended family."
